Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention Carissa Weisdorf carissa.weisdorf@hennepin.us Carissa Weisdorf is the coordinator of the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention (Council) and provides leadership and community visibility for all Council efforts. Carissa joined the Council staff in April 2014 and served for two and a half years as the Council’s administrative specialist. Prior to joining the Ryan White and Council staff, Carissa was the international programs associate and office manager at Children's HeartLink where she traveled to international partner hospitals to educate medical staff and families. Carissa is a frequent traveler to Tanzania, East Africa and became interested in ensuring access to quality, affordable care for people living with HIV/AIDS after learning more about the HIV epidemic throughout Africa and in our community in Minnesota. Carissa graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor's degree in anthropology. |
