Executive Committee Responsibilities
The Executive Committee is made up of the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention co-chairs, the co-chair(s) of each standing committee, the co-chair(s) of any ad hoc committees and the Parliamentarian. The Executive Committee shall review the recommendations of standing and ad hoc committees and return them to the drafting committee for alteration, forward them to the full Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention for action with support, or forward them without recommendation or comment.

The Executive Committee’s roles and responsibilities are:
- Serve as the leadership committee, or Executive Board of the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention.
- Make decisions on behalf of the Council but only in the event of a crisis or emergency that prevents the full Council from meeting and only within the laws and policies of Hennepin County and/or the State of Minnesota.
- Ensure that the work of all committees is within the roles and responsibilities defined in the bylaws, HRSA guidance, CDC guidance, or any Memorandum of Understanding in effect at the time, and ensure that the work progresses in an orderly and integrated fashion.
- Develop and update the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention meeting agenda.
- Appoint ad-hoc committees and define their roles and responsibilities.
- Review the performance of the Part A, Part B, and prevention grantees.
- Define and implement Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention grievance procedures.
- Review and revise Memorandum of Understanding with grantee(s).
- Perform other duties as may be required or assigned by the Co-chairs of the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention or by vote of the Council.
- Support Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention’s recruitment by identifying and referring applicants for membership to the Membership & Training Committee.
- Update and revise Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention bylaws.
- Assure compliance with code of conduct by all Council members.
- Develop and foster meeting standards and climate of Council.
- Develop and implement evaluations of Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention meetings.
- Develop and revise Charter for Council.
- Provide and assure logistical support needs for Council are met.
